
Val Seid, is the Womens Varsity Head Coach at Ballard High School. Val played for UCLA and San Jose State during his collegiate years. Val has been coaching for over 10 years in Washington state, coaching High school for 8 of those years. He currently coaches at the premier club level coaching boys and girls at various clubs, and is the goalkeeper coach for the Men’s & Women’s team at Bellevue College. In 2006 Val was voted as coach of the year for KingCo 4A. Val holds the USSF National “B” License, the USSF National Youth License and the NSCAA State Goalkeeper Diploma.

Tony Mortenson has been coaching competitive soccer for 13 years. His coaching career started in Colorado with the Ft. Collins Arsenal program, coaching boys teams from U11 to U16 for 10 years with several State Cup quarterfinal appearances. He was the head coach for Colorado State University Men’s Club team and assisted with the Women’s program. Tony holds a USSF National B coaching license and has been a certified referee for 13 years.
Sasha Shefts has played with the US Olympic team in 1984; winning a NCAA National Championship with SPU in 1983. Sasha holds a USSF ‘A’ license and a National Youth Certificate. He is a member of the WSYSA Instructional coaching staff and is an ODP Region IV scout. Sasha has served as the Director of Coaching for LVR, coached four state championships with Emerald City FC. He was the Womens Varsity Head Coach at Holy Names High School we he earned The Seattle Times 2007 “Coach of the Year”, and is currently an Assistant Coach for the Bellevue Community College Men’s Soccer team.
